I bought a pumpkin at AC Moore for 70% off and cased the idea from Stephruda from EBB Creations web site. I made mine into a jackolantern. It took a long time to Modge Podge this.

Altered Family Letters

I did this for an online scrapping course that I tool called All About Family. I did this with Big Picture Scrapbooking.

Wishing You Love and Peace

I made this on Sunday for the case of the featured stamper, Trucarma. She is amazing. I tied ribbons onto a cirlce clip and then glued it down, as she had done on her card.

Here is her card:

Cracked Glass Sympathy

I made this for the Technique challenge on SCS today. I used Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel and Versamark and embossed it 4 times. I then put it into the freezer to 2 minutes and then gently made my cracks. Thanks for looking.

Male Birthday Card

This was for a color challenge on SCS and a sketch challenge on Scrapperie.

Happy Halloween

Made this for the sketch challenge on Scrapperie.

Always

Here is the sketch challenge card for today from http://www.scrapperie.com/. I used Black Staz On and then used watercolor pencils on whisper white paper. I then used my aqua painter. When all was dry I used Versamark and heat and stick powder to adhere the glitter. I used eyelets to hold the ribbon in place. I popped the flowers up on dimensionals. Thanks for looking.

It's all About the Tree

This is my submission for Donna's preVSBN challenge, OCTPREVSBNC - Decorations on Splitcoast Stampers.

I made faux metal tags with silver SU paper and SU Vellum, I made faux buttons and made faux ribbon and a faux paper bow.
I love the picture on the top because of it's blurriness, it lends an air of excitement and anticipation. I think one of my kids took this picture right before we let them open presents.
Thanks for a great challenge Donna and thanks for looking.

It's the Little Things

I made this card for a sketch challenge on Scrapperie. I am loving these daily sketch challenges. StampingQueenJAR used this stamp set to create her card today for the Friday challenge and I just loved it so I used the Night of Navy and white paper. I embossed the image and tied a quick ribbon. This came together really quickly. Thanks for looking.

Altered Holiday Desk Mate

I did this for a challenge where we had to use wood. I had this wooden tray and wanted to alter it. I used Modge Podge to adhere the paper and give a matte finish to the wood and paper. The covered pad is held in place with a magnet glued to the tray. The buttons have a snowflake on one and one says Frosty Fun. I put the DP in the pen but it is hard to see with the micro beads that I adhered to the pen. I heat the pen a little to keep the beads on after I roll the pen on a hard surface. Thanks for loooking.

Believe Candle

I stamped this image on tissue paper and colored it in with markers. I then cut out the image and placed it on the candle. Next I cut a piece of wax paper to fit over the image and all the way around the candle with some extra to hold on ot. Wrap the wax paper tightly around the candle and use your heat gun to melt the wax on the paper and it will adhere the image to the candle. Don't overheat or you will mess up your candle. I then added some Stickles to the Snow, a band of DP and an organdy ribbon. I finished it off with dental floss tied to the candle wick and beads to give it an attractive finish. Thanks for looking.

B is for Boo

I made this for a card a day challenge at Scrapperie.

Transparency My Friend Card

I made this for SCS challenge using a transparency. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the BG and then painted the flowers with Staz On.

Tickled Pink

I made this for the sketch challenge on www.scrapperie.com

Tuesday's Color Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers

I made this for the Pinks Repeat color challenge today on Splitcoast Stampers. You can find the challenge here:

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=293634

I used Black Staz On to stamp the main image on watercolor paper and then used my new Copic markers to color it in. I then sponged Barely Banana and Rose Red around the main image. I then used my Marvy punch to punch out the image and cut the next layer with my Coluzzle.

I used my white Signo Gel Pen to do some accents on the flower, around the main image and then in the flowers and dots on the doodled corner image. I used my CB to emboss the second mounted layer. I popped the image and the CB'd layer on dimensionals.

Thanks for looking.

I made this box out of 4" square coasters. I covered five coasters with this School Daze paper by Rusty Pickle. I used Modge Podge to adhere the papers and then used some on top of the paper to give it a nice finish. I made chipboard stars from my stash and covered them with the paper as well. I used the new wider grosgrain ribbon from Stampin' Up to hold the boxes together.

Monday, October 15, 2007

I made this layout for a challenge on EBB Creations where we had to work a sentence into our layout. I used You must have been a beautiful baby. These pictures are from when I was two and three years old.

I used Basic Grey paper and rub ons. I also used some Stampin' Up paper and some Rusty Pickle chipboard. Some buttons are from Stampin' Up and some are from my stash. Thanks for looking.

Halloween Prima Bottle

I decided to put all my Primas in a few plastic containers because the glass bottles are cumbersome. After I emptied them out I decided that I could alter them to make a fun and yummy treat holder for some Halloween candy. I used black acrylic paint to the paint the top. Then I took a piece of chipboard that has adhesive on both sides and I adhered a bunch of ribbons and the boo sign which wiggles around as it is mounted on a wire which I curled around a pencil. I have tons of these bottles now so the possibilities are endless.

Halloween Paint Can

I bought this clear plastic paint can at Staples and just had to alter it for Halloween. I used SU wire on the top which I curled around a pencil to make it bouncy. I used stickles on the moon to give it a shimmery feel. This was fun and easy to make and will be sent to a good friend of mine.
