Make a Wish

Spring ATC Featuring Pebbles Sunnyside

I am trying to think of spring as I head off to Atlanta to visit with Colleen this coming weekend.  This Sunnyside paper line by Pebbles, is so pretty and springy.  I had a lot of fun making this ATC and am featuring glitter as well which I used on the butterfly.  I used some older MFT's including the buttons and the butterflies.

ATC's are really a lot of fun and I know the store offers some classes on them, you should check it out.  I'll be back soon.

The Hens' Den Valentine's Day Blog Hop

Be Mine Cracked Glass Heart Box
Graphic 45 Place in Time
Created By:  Anita Mulcahey

Happy Valentine's Day everyone.  I just loved how fun cracked glass looks and I made this cute little gift box to put a sweet in for my sweetie.  Do you ever just reflect on how lucky we are to have the people in our lives that love us? I have been with my sweetie for over 30 years and this is our 31st Valentine's Day together.  I hope that you have a great day and remember there are all kinds of love and we are all blessed with many different types.  Please check my part of the prize that The Hens' Den is giving away for those that visit and comment on all of the blogs and if you want to follow me along as well I would greatly appreciate it.

Project Materials:
Graphic 45 Place in Time Stickers
Petaloo Color me Crazy Flowers
Tim Holtz Distress Powder, Faded Jeans
Tim Holtz Distress Stain, Broken China
Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Faded Jeans
May Arts, Lace Ivory Pearl 3/4"
Versamark Ink
Embossing Tray
Embossing Gun
My Favorite Things Scalloped Heart Die
Silhouette Cameo, Laurie Whitlock heart box

Cracked Glass Technique:
1.  Die cut heart into shape.
2.  Lay heart on heat safe surface and ink up paper with Versamark ink.
3.  Sprinkle heart with Tim Holtz Distress Powder.  As you can see in the close up it gives such pretty combinations of shades.
4.  Heat emboss first layer and let cool.
5.  Repeat steps 2-4 six or seven times until your embossed layer is good and thick.
6.  Put in your freezer for 20 minutes to freeze until hard and brittle.
7.  Working quickly gently crack the surface of the heart doing small parts at a time.
8.  Once your project is cracked you can ink over the whole piece if the cracks do not show up as you would like.
9.  If you don't like how your cracks come out you can heat the heart with the embossing gun and then put back in the freezer to recrack.

Valentine Snickers Candy Bar Wrapper and Box

Happy Valentine's Day everyone:

Here is the box that I made to hold my altered Snickers Candy Bar. The paper I used is so pretty, I just love it.  It is called Fourteen by Crate Paper.   I used my Silhouette and a SVG file by Lori Whitlock. I also used a flag from Bella Boulevard and cut out a heart from one of the Fourteen Papers called February.  The stickers are from October Afternoon and are called Sno-Cone Mini Market.  They are perfect for smaller titles.  Lastly I took some washi tape and put some on white paper down the edge on both sides and then trimmed the piece of paper to 1/4".  I then wound the strips around chop sticks and came out with those wonderful curls.
I hope everyone has an awesome Valentine's Day and don't forget to stop into the store to pick up your holiday paper crafting supplies,

Day 10 of 14 Days of Love with Right at Home Scrapbooking

Card 1Hope everyone survived the blizzard safely.  I took advantage of the time to create my post for today. Lisa and Holly gave me this awesome book from Card Maker Magazine called A to Z Embellishments for Cards.  I chose to  make Fabric Yo-Yo's to use on my cards.  You can find the directions for these fun fabric flowers on page 140.  I used Crate Papers wonderful Valentine line called Fourteen.  I also used Crate Paper Stitched Labels.  I would normally make one card but these yo-yo's were so much fun and the papers so gorgeous that I kept going.  Did you know that Lisa has this amazing assortment of buttons that you can pick from in the store?  I had such fun fishing through the mason jars which are organized by color to find some wonderful buttons.  I love the pink one below with the silver design.

14 Days of Love Tags

Here are the two tags that I made using Basic Grey's True Love line.  These were actually left over pieces from my Basic Grey Kit of the Month Club kit.  They always give you so many goodies.  I also used a Unity Stamps Life Calendar stamp which would be perfect on layout pages as well as on cards.  Of course I had to use a bunch of dies from My Favorite Things.  Lisa has all these items and more in the store to make for your favorite Valentines.
