The Craft's Meow August Sketch Challenge

Here is my entry for the August Sketch challenge at The Craft's Meow.  I had such fun with this stamp set.  I popped up some of the leaves on the tree and used jewels for my shiny red apples.  This set is called Apple Pickin' Time and you can buy it in the store.  I hope that you have a chance to play along as you could win a free stamp set.

August Basic Grey Page Kit of the Month Club Featuring the Clippings Collection Preview

Hi Everyone:
Anita here with a preview of the August Basic Grey Page Kit of the Month Club featuring the Clippings Collection. This is one amazing kit filled with so many wonderful papers and goodies. I have shown you a sampling of the papers below as well as the two page layout that we will be making in class. These kits are so chock full that they extend way beyond the two page layout that is the central part of the kit. There is always an extra project with directions included each month and I created some additional projects which I will be back to share in a few days.

Here are some close up shots of each page. This is really going to be a fun one to make in class and you could do so many different things with your layout. I chose to scrap my daughters graduation photos and love how they look with this layout and these awesome papers.

IMG_2384These stitched banners are so amazing. They are two sided so you can choose your favorite side and they come in 6 or 7 different sizes and patterns. I loved working with them and you won't believe how easy they are to work with. SBC_bg-cli-3822

This sticker sheet is so much fun and matches the cardstock with the larger alphas that I shared below.

Tea for Two, Two for Tea

Hi Everyone:
Happy Saturday. I wanted to make something really fun with the gorgeous Bella Blvd. Sunshine & Happiness papers that Lisa gave me to play with this month. I found the Tea For You and Me as an SVG kit. Thanks so much to Kathy for helping me figure out the paper placement. These papers really lend themselves well to a gorgeous summer teapot. It is open in the inside and could be filled with tea bags and would make a lovely gift for your favorite tea lover. It was fun to use some props in my photo as I never, ever use my coffee/tea cups from my china set.

With a little bit of patience and a lot of Zip Dry glue, you are going to want to get a new full bottle from Lisa, you can make this gorgeous tea pot also.

Trendy Twine Just Another Day at the Beach Challenge

Our design team challenge this month was to create something with our lovely Kraft twine with a beach theme and we needed to include Washi tape.  I found these containers in the discount section at Target and they just seemed to say beach to me.  I used my Kraft twine and Posy twine to create a shell and a starfish.  I took a piece of wire and covered it with Washi tape and wove it through the holes in the container and then wrapped it around a pencil to give a curly look.  I think these would be perfect for an after beach party.  Be sure to check out the store to see all the beautiful  colors of Trendy Twine that Lesley has.  The blog is also a really awesome place to see what my fellow designers and guest designers have been doing with their Trendy Twine.

I Scream, You Scream, we all Scream for Ice Cream

Where is this summer going? I can't believe that it is August first and my baby is going to college in 15 days. I had a lot of fun making this ice cream cone for my project. The Kraft Trendy Twine can be used for so many things given it's neutral color. I absolutely love the mix of colors in these twines and can't wait to get my new colors. You have been to the store to place your pre-order, right? What are you waiting for, they are gorgeous.

You can find the Kraft Twine here.
You can find the Strawberry Cupcake Twine here.

Be sure to visit the blog often to see what my fellow DT and Guest DT members are up to.
