Family First

Here is my challenge entry for the Creative Embellishments January challenge.  It was based on the above photo inspiration as well as what you are hooping for in the coming year.  These are my kids whom I adore and they have become closer as they have gotten older and I hope they always stay that way.  Creative Embellishments is a wonderful company which my good friend Nicolle and her husband started.  I wish her all the success in the world.  Be sure to check out her store for wonderful chipboard and wood veneers as well as stamps.

Happy New Year

I had such fun creating this Candy Box from Samantha Walker, #50803 on my Silhouette.  I added a perforation line down the middle so that you could pop it open to reveal the fun confetti.  I am submitting this for the Cut it Up Challenge #35.  I love how the twine from The Twinery matched my papers so perfectly.

Making Memories That are Shiny and New

I made this layout using the above sketch for the Shiny and New challenge at Paper Issues.  It is a fun one.  I used some gold papers to mount my photos.  Coll and I took a trip to Nashville over her fall break and we had such a wonderful time.  We have such fun together and just laughed and laughed.  Thanks for looking and be sure to check out the challenge.  Happy New Year

Heart Full of Love Pillow

 Next to Christmas, Valentine's Day is my most favorite holiday.  I decided to have some fun playing with twine from The Twinery.  I finger knit 7 different colors of twine together to  make the chain to form the heart.  I also used those same colors to create the tassels as well.

I am so tickled with how this came out.  This is for a dear friend who is getting a hot chocolate set as part of her gift for Christmas.  Silhouette empty tube from stencil vinyl and etching tape Cut files: candy cane cupcake wrapper 51711 Tag 13434

Made a plate of their favorite cookies and etched the bottom of the platter which they will see once the cookies are gone.  Glass Etching File number 51550
