Tip Toe Through the Tulips

I finally found some time for myself this week so that I could finish my entry for the Tip Toe Through the Tulips Issue at Paper Issues.  My friend Jamie Cripps has all these amazing flower and vase Silhouette files that I just had to have.  She gives easy directions to follow and they work up beautifully.  Also had such fun playing with all these bright and fun Doodlebug papers and embellishments.

Eeeek, The Twinery 2014 Design Team

 The Twinery

I am so excited to share that I made The Twinery design team for 2014.  Anyone who knows me knows how much I love working with twine and The Twinery is my favorite twine on the planet.  Can you tell I am  a little excited.  There are a fabulous group of returning designers as well as a whole bunch of newbies like me.  I can't wait to see what everyone creates as we go along.  Of course I had to make a project for my big news.  I had such fun with this Lori Whitlock shadow box.  I love mixing and matching files from the Silhouette Store and using wonderful Doodlebug new papers and sequins and some vintage buttons.  I did Irish step dancing for seven years growing up and my daughter did it for two years and these are some of her photos.  So cute.

I was inspired to create this project for the Cut It Up Challenge blog.  I have had such fun playing over there.  You should check it out.

I used the following yummy twine colors for me project and you can find all of the colors in the store:
Honeydew Solid and Stripe
Peapod Solid and Stripe
Midnight Solid
Denim Solid
Lilac Solid
Marigold Solid
Mandarin Solid
Maraschino Solid

Here is the list of my fellow The Twinery DT members:

Creative Scrappers Sketch 263

I have been wanting to scrap this photo for a really long time and finally found a sketch that would work perfectly.  You can check it out here at Creative Scrappers and there is still time to play along. I am so in love with the new Doodlebug sequins as well as Kraft in Color, Color and Kraft in Color, Kraft.

2/27/14 Snowman Bag

Eeek, this was so much fun to create.  It is for the Cut It Up Winter Fun, Blue and White Challenge #39.  I used some lovely twine from The Twinery to make a pom pom for his hat and an accent for his hat.  This is a really fun challenge site where you have to use a die cut on your project.  You can check out the site and challenge here

Creative Scrappers Sketch #262

Selfies are so much fun and we had a lot of fun on our recent Mexican Riviera cruise taking some.  This was a challenge for me, but I loved it. Be sure to check out the challenge at Creative Scrappers.  Also using this for the current Paper Issues challenge as well.

I Heart You

Recently I made a trip to Hobby Lobby to check it out with a friend.  I found this lovely wood frame that I thought would be perfect for me to play with using The Twinery twine and some awesome Stickles glitter.  I used Thermoweb adhesive sheets which I applied to my paper before die cutting the hearts on my Sizzix and the letters on my Silhouette.  Love how easy this was.  Hope my mom loves it.
