1/18/12 My Little Bit of Whimsy Cards

Hi:
Anita here with four cards that I made with my lovely Whimsy pins and buttons.  I could create with them all day because I just love them. Check out what Stephanie has been creating here.   I made this get well card for a family friend who had emergency surgery recently.  Fortuntely he is doing well.  I just love this fish.  They come in different colors and are so adorabble.
Project Materials: My Little Bit of Whimsy Cloud buttons and Fish pin.  Patterned Papers:  Bo Bunny Barefoot & Bliss, Cardstock:  Gina K. Designs, Dies:  My Favorite Things. Spritz:  Tattered Angels, Twine:  The Twinery.
Isn't this bee just so adorable.  There are so many fun ways that I could have used him.  This card makes me happy.
Project materials:  Patterned Paper:  October Afternoon, Cardstock:  Gina K. Designs, Dies:  My Favorite Things, Felt:  Michaels, Bee:  My Little Bit of Whimsy, Ribbon:  from personal stash.
I love making square cards with big fat bows, they just make me so happy.  I love this pear pin and thought it went perfectly with these papers and that bow.

This card was a treat to make.  I love the rich colors and I had fun using crackle paint on the bird cage and then ink to give it a bit of a distressed look. Here is a close up of the bird cage.
Here is the actual card.

1/17/12 Sketchabilities Layout

Hi:
I have started designing for Karan for Cardabilities and love her sketches so thought I would try my hand at a layout using her current sketch at Sketchabilities.  She encouraged us to use spritz or paint.  I used a whole lot of spritz on my layout and a mix of about 5 different colors.  Every year we take a holiday photo of the kids and for the last two Christmas photos Sean wore his Northeastern sweat shirt.  This year Coll wore her Georgia Tech one as she is going there in the fall.  We thought Sean was ging to put on his Northeastern one, but he wore the Georgia Tech one that we bought him to show his support for Colleen.  He is such a great guy.  Thanks for looking and play along if you can.

1/16/12 Inky Impressions Card

Hi Everyone:
Hope you are all staying warm.  It is so cold out today.  I made this card for the Inky Impressions DT this week.  I used one of their sentiment stamps which just stamps up so perfectly.  There is great challenge going on now using red, pink and white.  You can check it out here.  There is still a little time left to play along.  Be sure to check out the store too for Nicole's adorable images and sentiments.

1/13/12 Right at Home Card Sketches for January

Friday January 13 Card Sketch Challenge

Happy Friday the 13th everyone. Hope that everyone has a great day and a great weekend. I am here to share two January card sketches with the fabulous paper lines that Lisa gave me. For the first sketch I was lucky to work with Fancy Pants Love Story. I love this paper line, so pretty. I also worked with some of the Bazzill Two Scoops paper is fabulous. I sanded it and it gives it such a pretty distressed look as the white paper pops through. I used two different patterns of this paper on my card. Here is the Card Maps sketch that Lisa gave us to work with and then my first card.

For my second card I used Happy Days from Echo Park. These are really fun papers to work with as they have so many colors in them. I also used one of my favorite My Favorite Things Dynamics called Loopy Bloom. This bloom is so much fun to work with and will make your projects really pop. Here is the Cards Map sketch and card sample.
