I love this line by My Little Shoebox, it is just so cute.  I also really like this saying because some days you just need those rose colored glasses.

Casual Friday Sketch CFC42

I was visiting different sketch blogs as I find them so much fun and came upon this one.  It is Cas-ual Friday and the goal is to create clean and simple projects.  I had such fun with this card.  I have had this stamp set from my Favorite Things for a while and it was fun to break it out.
I have had these baby diaper pins for a while also and cut the pin off and glued down the little bird.

Thanks for looking and have a great week.

Play Date Cafe Weekly Challenge 2/3/12

Happy Saturday Everyone:
Here is my entry for this week's Play Date Cafe challenge.  The colors for this week are mojito, peony and sand.  Love these colors.  The box itself is sand colored which you can see when you look inside at the sides of the box.  Plus one of the flowers is that color also.  A friend of mine has been having a hard week so I thought a box of swirled cheesecakes would brighten her day.  I used these new EAD Design stickers and they are so easy to use, the colors are gorgeous and they are just so stinkin' cute.  I will be using more in the future.  I wanted everyone to know that I got the tutorial for this adorable box from Becky Roberts and her blog is inkingidaho.blogspot.com.  You have to check it out because her work is amazing.  Thanks for looking.

Page Maps Webster's Pages Sketch Contest

I love Becky Fleck's Page Maps sketches.  They are always so fun and inspiring to me.  My daughter starting running in November 2010 for her first 5K.  She has since completed another 5K, a 10K and a 5 miler which this race was.  She didn't stay after the race for the medal ceremony because she figured that she hadn't won anything.  A week later she received a package with her first place medal in it.

She has been searching all her 17 years for something to do with her time that she could feel passionate about.  Well, she has found it.  She has a bunch more races scheduled including a half marathon in May.  You go girl, I couldn't be more proud of her for reaching for her dreams.

You can find the challenge here.

Here is my submission for this week's challenge at Inky Impressions, which you can find here.  Play along with us for a chance to win.  Our challenge for this week was to make a good luck card.  I used Lili's Stuffed Bunny and you can see her and many other wonderful stamps by the lovely Nicole here
We are so excited to be sponsored by ZVA Creative.  They sent us a whole bunch of gorgeous crystals.  I love bling so much and had a great time playing with them on this card.  The prize winner for this week's challenge will also be winning some lovely ZVA Creative products.  Woo hoo.  You will love them, they are gorgeous.

I bought this Clover flower loom and I am having so much fun creating flowers with it. This is a  two layered one and I love how it came out.
The sketch for this card came from Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge 373.  I am always inspired by their sketches.  Check them out.

2/29/12 Create Blog Quilt Inspired Challenge

Hi Everyone:
I made this card for the Create Blog Quilt Inspired challenge.  I am making a quilt for my daughter and one for her best friend as they are both seniors in high school so this challenge was perfectly timed for me.  I have been sewing since I was four when my grandmother first taught me.  I love to sew and have been so busy with paper crafting that it was nice to get back to sewing and thinking creatively with fabric.  Thank you Paige for giving me this opportunity.  I used dies from The Cat's Pajamas to create quilt pieces like Dresden Plate which was one of the first blocks I learned how to create.  Thanks for looking and be sure to check out the challenge here.
Hugs,
