Operation Write Home Memorial Day Blog Hop 5/30/10

Welcome to the Operation Write Home Memorial Day Blog Hop. I am so glad to have found out about the Operation Write Home which sends cards to soldiers to send to their family and friends. I am going to send my card to them as well as a bunch from my stash. I am also going to host a party with my friends to make cards for this wonderful organization. You can find all about how to do this on their site. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the sacrifice soldiers and their families make to keep my family and your country safe.
If you came to my site without participating in the hop then you are going to want to go the beginning Operation Write Home Blog Hop. Next you will be going to Kathy's wonderful blog.
Pinwheels are really easy to make. You can use any size square that you want. I used a 1.5" square and then cut on the four diagonal lines to within about a 1/4 of an inch. You then fold alterating pieces toward the center. I held them in place and punched a hole for my brad.
I am offering some blog candy; and in order to be eligible you have to sign up to follow my blog. I would really like to get some more followers. I will be offering the items above as my blog candy.
Hugs,
Anita

  61. Hi Anita Sweetie...
I am Country Wings your newest follower. I cannot wait to see what you share next.

OMG I so adore the little pinwheels that you created on your beautiful cards of love for the OWH. You are so inspiring.

I have never made a card, but this blog hop has inspired me to start. I have been wanting to do something for the soldiers also and this has truly inspired me to give it a try. I have been shut in my house for a month with lung and chronic asthma (hospitalized for 8 days) and am thrilled to find something that I can do from my house. I am going in search of supplies around the house to see what I can create with. Thank you for the inspiration.

Please stop by and say hi. I would be so honored if you signed up to follow my blog as well. I love meeting new friends and love sharing crafts and ideas.

    Country hugs sweetie...Sherry
