I live in MA with my hubby and we have two children. I have been paper crafting for over twenty years. Hard to believe where the time has gone. Thanks for visiting and leave me a comment to let me know you were here.
Well, it has been a busy week for me filled with much wonderful news. It's been like getting my Christmas presents early. I found out earlier this week that I will be designing for Apron Strings Designs as a Card Sous Chef starting in January for the coming year. I also found out that I will be Designing for Right at Home Scrapbooking which is about my favorite place in the whole world. It is my local scrapbook store in North Attleboro, MA.
Today I received my January copy of Making Cards magazine and I have a card in there. It is so exciting to see my card in there. Can't wait to show the family next week.
I have been missing doing the sketches the last two weeks have been so busy. When I saw the sketch I immediately thought of a man's tuxedo shirt and went from there to make a wedding card. Thanks for a fun one Laura. I am also very grateful to Timeless Paper Arts who is the sponsor this week and is the company that I have been designing for.

Love this sketch Kazan. I used my monthly DT kit from Timeless Paper Arts to make this lovely card. The papers are Webster's pages Inspired collection. The trim is from We R Memory Keepers and is called Promenade. The dotted ribbon is from BoBunny. Check out http://www.timelesspaperarts.com/ for great paper crafting supplies.
Thanks Laura for a great sketch. I am having fun playing with these new Basic Grey patterns that I just bought. This is going to my husband's cousin's wife who is undergoing treatment for cancer. Think of her today when you see my card and thanks for looking.
Happy Birthday Kazan :) I used an acrylic card that I bought from one of the 2 Sketches 4 You sponsors a few weeks back. I love how this came out. A family member was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer yesterday which has a really high cure rate. I made this card for her as she makes her way through the rest of the diagnosis and treatment decision phases. Thanks for looking.
I made this card for Kazan's Sketch 12. Thank you so much to the DT for your fabulous inspiration. I can't wait to see who Kazan and Laura pick to work with for the next three months. This is the most fabulous site.
Here is my take on Laura's sketch #10 at http://www.2sketches4you.blogspot.com/. I just got these new Designer Gromlets form We R Memory Keepers and I just had to use one. Thanks for looking. Have a great day.
CKC in Hartford was such a blast. We are definitely going to go back next year. I had entered the Paper Crafts card contest and won third prize. I was so excited and won $75.00 worth of books from CK. I am soglad that they loved my card and can't wait to see if they publish it. If you have the chance to go to CKC you should definitely check it out.

So the good news is that this card has been accepted by Making Cards Magazine for publication, and the bad news is that you will now have to wait to see it. I sent it off yesterday because I was happy with how it came out and was so pleased to receive an email this morning stating that it had been accepted for publication. I gave credit to 2 sketches for the sketch and Timeless Pper Arts and will let you know when it is published.
It was fun to make this card. I ended up using a transparency as I was inspired by the sample cards. Thanks for looking. You can check out this awesome sketch at http://www.2sketches4you.blogspot.com/ I took a couple of different views so that you could see that I dry embossed the transparency and that I used rub-ons on the inside.
The Timeless Paper Arts online store is having a Fall-themed, altered decor contest! (www.TimelessPaperArts.blogspot.com)
Requirements: Register on the TPA message board Register in the Gallery and upload entry into the "Contests & Challenges" Album and label it "Fall Décor" Entries must be received by 11:59pm CST on October 10th. Open to U.S. residents only.
This is an awesome prize, be sure to enter the contest.
I was inspired to make a fall card after seeing both Kazan's sketch and the blog banner seasonal change. I recycled the twill that I used for the bow. I used glossy paper and my spectrum pad and brayer to make the background paper for the leaves. I then embossed in copper the leaves on the paper. It looks shimmery and rich in real life. Thanks for looking. http://www.2sketches4you.blogspot.com/

This was a fun card to make for a family member who is going through a recurrence with her cancer. I thought this Asian inspired card might cheer her up. It is my entry for Kazan's Sketch 7 over athttp://www.2sketches4you.blogspot.com/
I made this layout yesterday for a challenge on http://www.makingmemoriesforyou.org/. We had to use 5 of 7 different items on our layouts. I used paint, a metal photo turn, brads, ribbon and black duct tape to punch out my hearts. They are hard to punch through and I started with stars but found that a rounded edge works better, hence he hearts.
I had another project of mine accepted for publication. I will give more details as I can. Yipee. It was published in the tutorial section of the Making Memories for you Ezine.http://magazineofmemories.blogspot.com/
Well yesterday was the big day and at 8PM EST last night we found out that the 10 of us who applied to the EBB Creations DT were all put on the team. I am so excited, I can not even tell you. I was a Guest Designer in February and had such a blast. It is such a wonderful place. You should check it out. http://ebbscrapbooking.com/Forums/index.php?act=idx
