24 Drawer Advent Calendar

Hello Everyone:

Happy Thanksgiving.  Anita here with a post to get the Christmas season off to a great start.  I made Lori's 24 Drawer Advent Calendar (SVG, Silhouette).  Lori also has a You Tube tutorial which you can find here on how to put the boxes together.  These are great to put together while watching some holiday movies.  The file comes with some embellishments as well.  Now just have to fill it for my daughter.  May be next year I will make one for my grandson as he will be a little bit older.

Have a wonderful rest of your day and a magical holiday season.

November Lori Whitlock Creative Team Blog Hop

It's time for the November Lori Whitlock Creative Team blog hop. You should have come here from Kathy Skou's blog and will next be going to Aimee Kidd's blog.   I made Lori's Home With Icon Bundle which you can find the SVG in her store.  This set is great as it comes with a set of icons for several holidays.  I made this for a friend who is in the process of building a house.  I used chipboard on the back of each piece and glued a Velcro circle onto the board and then stapled it as well to hold it on the wood.  I lined up where I wanted the other icons to sit and then applied a corresponding Velcro dot to each icon.

I also used several other files to make other icons including:

Travel Icons Airplane & Compass (SVG, Silhouette)

Travel Icons Balloon, Boat, Globe, Anchor (SVG, Silhouette)

2 Wedding Icons (SVG, Silhouette)

3 Football Icons (SVG, Silhouette)

3 Thanksgiving Icons (SVG, Silhouette)

4 Fall Icons (SVGSilhouette)

I also used Lori's Stationery Box (SVG, Silhouette) to store the extra icon decorations when not in use.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Halloween Box Card Window Black Cat

 Hi Everyone:

Hope that everyone is having a great fall season.  We are officially less than one week away from Halloween, so you still have time to create some fun cards and projects like this Box Card Window Black Cat (SVG, Silhouette) which is in Lori's store in addition to many other Halloween treat holders and decorative items.  I used several of Lori's Echo Park Paper lines including I Love Halloween, A Perfect Autumn, and My Favorite Fall.  I love making Lori's box cards as they are so easy to put together, really make a statement and fold flat for mailing.  Here is a link to a tutorial from Lori in making the Box Card Window cards.

That's it for me today, have a great week and Happy Halloween.

Couple's Shower Decorations

Hello Everyone:

As we gear up for the fall wedding season which is very popular, I was looking for decorations in the party store that would work for a couple's shower.  They had absolutely nothing and I knew that Lori would have some wonderful items that I could make into elegant decorations for this special bride and groom.  I used Lori's 3 D Alphabet Letters.  She has a wonderful tutorial on putting these together plus the files are labeled as well.  I would suggest just taking your time and making sure the glue is set before moving onto the next section.  Here are the files for the 3 D Alphabet letters:

M - (SVG, Silhouette)

R - (SVG, Silhouette)

S - (SVG, Silhouette)

& - (SVG, Silhouette)

T - (SVG, Silhouette)

O - (SVG, Silhouette)

B - (SVG, Silhouette)

E - (SVG, Silhouette)

You can also get the bundle here in Lori's store (SVG).

People were amazed by the letter decorations and went over to look closely as they thought that they were made out of wood.

I also decided to make the bride a personalized wine cup and used Lori's font called Matilda (SVG, Silhouette) and a beer mug for the groom and I used her Sans font (Silhouette) with vinyl.  These were a huge hit with the bride and groom who loved having their own personalized cups for the party.

That's it for me today.  Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Christmas in July Tea Towel Tutorial

 Hi Everyone:

For the first time ever, I decided to start making some Christmas items in July.  I  made these tea towels using three of Lori's SVG files , Flourish Reindeer, which you can find here in her store and here in the Silhouette store, Mistletoe 2 which you can find here in Lori's store and here in the Silhouette store and Merry Christmas Flourish Tree which you can find here in Lori's store and here in the Silhouette store.  I used some tea towel blanks from Kimberbell and they are of awesome quality.  I tend to display my holiday tea towels hanging from my stove door handle so I planned out my sizing for the designs with that in mind.  I used the Cricut Easy Press to adhere my iron on vinyl designs but you can also use a regular iron.  They come out so beautiful and are so easy to work with.

Below are the photos of the parts to applique on the towels.

Here are the Tea Towels that I used.

Here are the close up photos of each towel.

I feel great to have gotten at least something done for the busy holiday season which will be upon us before we know it.  Check out all of Lori's wonderful Christmas and holiday cut files and get a jump start on your holiday crafting.
