Mickey Mouse First Birthday Letter Blocks for Centerpiece

Anita here with a tutorial to show you how I made Mickey Mouse letters for my grandson's first birthday party.  I used Lori's awesome files for the 3D Letters, here are the links to the O cut file in Lori's store and in the Silhouette Design store and the N cut file in her store and in the Silhouette Design store and the E cut file in her store and in the Silhouette Design store.  Lori also has a wonderful tutorial on her page which you can watch here to assist with putting the letters together.

Here are all the pieces that I cut out to make my blocks.  I used the kraft cardstock papers for assembling my letters.  I will describe what I did to create the Mickey ears at the top of the letter and cut an extra letter in the red, and cut it to fit near the bottom third of the letters.

I took my drawing tool in my Silhouette Cameo software and created a small circle that was the size that I wanted for the ears.  I copy and pasted a copy of the larger front piece from the file as I didn't want the layered look as shown in the original cut file.  Once I had all three of the letters on the mat I added two circles to each letter.  I then grouped each letter with the ears and arranged them on the mat so that they all fit.  I then sent the file to cut and selected each letter one at a time and then selected cut edge.  I sent it to my Silhouette and it came out perfect.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

May Lori Whitlock Creative Team Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone:

Welcome to the May Lori Whitlock Creative Team Blog Hop.  You should have come here from Kathy Skou's blog and will next be going to Brandie Harding Adams' blog.

My niece is about to graduate from high school and head off to Georgetown in the fall.  I made these projects to celebrate with her this momentous occasion.  I used Lori's SVG files including the Grad Hat Small Mouth Topper which is filled with different types of M & M's in her school colors.  You can find the file here in Lori's SVG store and here in the Silhouette store.  I also made her a Grad Year Shaped Card which you can find here in Lori's store.  Lastly, I made the Grad Photo Props Décor as a fun centerpiece.  You can find that file here in Lori's store and here in the Silhouette Design store.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

5X7 Shadow Box Frame Card Friends

Anita here with a card that I made for a dear friend who is moving away to be closer to her daughter and be in a warmer climate.  I wanted to give her a special card which reflected the importance of her friendship to me.  I made this 5X7 Shadow Box Frame Card Friends which you can find here in Lori's store and here in the Silhouette Design store.  I used one of Lori's new Echo Park Paper collections called A Slice of Summer.  This card folds flat for mailing and is sure to add some cheer to a friend's day.

That's it for me today.  Thanks for looking and have a great day.  Be sure to check out Lori's other beautiful friendship cards.

Hugs,
