Laura's Sketch 9

So the good news is that this card has been accepted by Making Cards Magazine for publication, and the bad news is that you will now have to wait to see it. I sent it off yesterday because I was happy with how it came out and was so pleased to receive an email this morning stating that it had been accepted for publication. I gave credit to 2 sketches for the sketch and Timeless Pper Arts and will let you know when it is published.

It was fun to make this card. I ended up using a transparency as I was inspired by the sample cards. Thanks for looking. You can check out this awesome sketch at http://www.2sketches4you.blogspot.com/ I took a couple of different views so that you could see that I dry embossed the transparency and that I used rub-ons on the inside.

Timeless Paper Arts is having a Fall Contest 9/16 - 10/10/08

The Timeless Paper Arts online store is having a Fall-themed, altered decor contest! Alter an item that can be considered a Fall decoration-it can be a seasonal frame, wall hanging, centerpiece, etc. It can also be something for the Fall season, Halloween, or Thanksgiving. Register on the TPA message board
Register in the Gallery and upload entry into the "Contests & Challenges" Album and label it "Fall Décor"
Entries must be received by 11:59pm CST on October 10th. Open to U.S. residents only.

Kazan's Sketch 8

I was inspired to make a fall card after seeing both Kazan's sketch and the blog banner seasonal change. I recycled the twill that I used for the bow. I used glossy paper and my spectrum pad and brayer to make the background paper for the leaves. I then embossed in copper the leaves on the paper. It looks shimmery and rich in real life.
