Operation Write Home Memorial Day Blog Hop 5/30/10

Welcome to the Operation Write Home Memorial Day Blog Hop. I am so glad to have found out about the Operation Write Home which sends cards to soldiers to send to their family and friends. I am going to send my card to them as well as a bunch from my stash. I am also going to host a party with my friends to make cards for this wonderful organization. You can find all about how to do this on their site. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the sacrifice soldiers and their families make to keep my family and your country safe.
If you came to my site without participating in the hop then you are going to want to go the beginning Operation Write Home Blog Hop. Next you will be going to Kathy's wonderful blog.
Pinwheels are really easy to make. You can use any size square that you want. I used a 1.5" square and then cut on the four diagonal lines to within about a 1/4 of an inch. You then fold alterating pieces toward the center. I held them in place and punched a hole for my brad.
I am offering some blog candy; and in order to be eligible you have to sign up to follow my blog. I would really like to get some more followers. I will be offering the items above as my blog candy.
Hugs,
Anita

Sew Many Cards Weekly Challenge Easel Card 5/14/10

Hi Everyone:
Hope that you have had a great week. This card was really easy to make and I am so glad that it will fit in the standard card envelopes. You want to cut your cardstock base 4.25 by 11" and scored vertically at 2.75 and 5.5 inches. You want to then glue the card front to the bottom of the card near the shorter score. Remember that you want your nice paper on the inside so that you will be able to see it.
I used the digital image called Baby on the Moon. You can find that as well as many other wonderful images at Sew Many Cards. I used the following Copics on my card: B05, B24, B34, BV00, V15, E00, Y02, Y04 and Y21.
Our challenge this week is sponsored by Soft Pencil Digital Stamps and their store link is their blog can be found here. They are offering a nice prize so I hope that you will play along with us. Here is the link to the Sew Many Challenges Blog where you can read more about the challenge as well as post a link to your creation.

Hi Everyone:
*Note - Racinggrandma61 won Oliver from last week. Please leave your email in a post for me so that I can have Jeri send out your prize. Anita
I got to use this adorable Christmas Cactus digi which you can find at the Sew Many Cards digi store. Our challenge was to make a Christmas project and I decided to make this gift box with note cards inside. Leave me a comment and sign up to follow my blog and I will pick one winner and mail you this set. Please check back next Friday to see if you won. I used the following Copics: B29, R27, Y08, YG 05, YG 09.
Be sure to check out the Sew Many Challenges blog to see what everyone created this week and to play along for a great prize from our sponsor this week who is Stitchy Bear Stamps. The winner of the challenge this week will win digi stamps from there. Be sure to check out their site, their images are really cute.
Have a great weekend and see you next week. Be sure to leave me a comment and let me know if you are a follower of just signed up to be one and I will put your name in a hat to win this adorable Christmas note card set.
