Here is my submission for this week's challenge at Inky Impressions, which you can find here. Play along with us for a chance to win. Our challenge for this week was to make a good luck card. I used Lili's Stuffed Bunny and you can see her and many other wonderful stamps by the lovely Nicole here.
We are so excited to be sponsored by ZVA Creative. They sent us a whole bunch of gorgeous crystals. I love bling so much and had a great time playing with them on this card. The prize winner for this week's challenge will also be winning some lovely ZVA Creative products. Woo hoo. You will love them, they are gorgeous.
I bought this Clover flower loom and I am having so much fun creating flowers with it. This is a two layered one and I love how it came out.
The sketch for this card came from Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge 373. I am always inspired by their sketches. Check them out.
Hope that you have a great week.

2/29/12 Create Blog Quilt Inspired Challenge
Hi Everyone:
I made this card for the Create Blog Quilt Inspired challenge. I am making a quilt for my daughter and one for her best friend as they are both seniors in high school so this challenge was perfectly timed for me. I have been sewing since I was four when my grandmother first taught me. I love to sew and have been so busy with paper crafting that it was nice to get back to sewing and thinking creatively with fabric. Thank you Paige for giving me this opportunity. I used dies from The Cat's Pajamas to create quilt pieces like Dresden Plate which was one of the first blocks I learned how to create. Thanks for looking and be sure to check out the challenge here.

Inky Impressions Cracked Glass Challenge/Penny's Challenges
Hey Everyone:
Happy Monday. We have school vacation here this week so lots of fun hanging out. My daughter is a senior in high school so these times are precious.
I wanted to do a cracked glass tutorial and thought using Nickie Running Late for School would be a perfect stamp to ink up for this tutorial. I love this technique but tend to forget about it. I dusted off my supplies and got to creating.
The Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel is the key ingredient to making cracked glass. I have tried regular clear embossing powder and it just doesn't work the same. I colored my image and then used Versamark (you could also use a clear embossing ink pad as well) and inked up my heart and main image. I then tapped off the excess and heat embossed the papers. They become jelly like and seem as if they are going to run off the edge, but they never do. Let cool completely before adding the next layer.
I repeated this process six times. You want your embossing to be thick so that you will get a nice crack when you are ready. Once you have completed the number of layers that you are happy with, you can place your pieces in the freezer for 20 minutes. Take out and crack gently and work quickly as your hands warm the paper and makes cracking more diffficult. If you are not happy with how it came out, you can reheat and start again with the freezing and cracking. You can also ink over the image and then wipe off the excess which gives it more of a vintage look.
Here is the final project.
Remember to check out the Inky Impressions store for this image as well as many other cute ones. The tutorial is also posted on the Inky Impressions Inspiration Blog. Thanks for reading and have a great day.
Hugs,
Anita

Show us your craft project using Twine

Feb 15-Mar 24
HOW THIS WORKS:
1. Create something really cool and original showcasing your use of Twine - perhaps a layout, card, paper craft, or any other craft project that you can think of. You must use NATURAL twine. It may be colored twine, natural twine, hemp twine, jute twine or cotton twine. No synthetic: nylon, acrylic or polypropylene. Digi/Hybrid submissions are OK as long as REAL Twine is used.
2. Create an account at ACherryOnTop.com AND a screen name (if you don't already have one)3. Take a picture of your finished project, then submit to our Twine Contest Gallery.
And that's it! We are looking forward to viewing your great ideas!

My Little Bit of Whimsy Cards
Hi Everyone:
First off I need to offer my congratulations to Stephanie on her marriage. She is just back from her honeymoon. Can't wait to hear how it was and see more pictures. Welcome home Steph we missed you.
Anita here again with some cards that I made using some of Stephanie's wonderful buttons and pins. I had such fun creating these.
Here is the first card that I made using papers from my Little Shoe Box. I love how cute this button looks over the doily and with the twine.
For my second card I used an oldie but goodie card technique that I just love. It is a slider card. I used one of Stephanie's cupcake buttons and mounted the back on a penny and then put a pop dot on the back and then added the second penny. I slipped this set into the track that I created on my card and my cupcake slides from one end of the card to the other. These are some older Creative Imaginations papers that I have just been waiting for the right opportunity to use.
For my third card I made a pocket card. I used one of Stephanie's larger buttons and thought this card would be perfect for my dear hubby. I love these Simple Stories papers for male cards.
I just love how my last card came out. It is probably my favorite of the four. I used My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Breeze papers. I found that I had two buttons and one stick pin from MLBOW that worked perfectly with these papers.
As you can see I love The Twinery Twine and use it on everything. Be sure to stop by the store often as Stephanie is always adding new stuff. Have a great month and I will see you soon.

Hi Everyone:
Here is my take on Karan's Sketch #49 for Cardabilities. You can check it out and play along here. I wanted to do something fun with the hearts so I used Shrinky Dinks. 2/13/12 Unscripted Sketches Challenge #145
Here is a card that I made using sketch #145 from Unscripted Sketches. You can check it out here and play along. I used Lili's Stuffed Bunny from Inky Impressions stamps for the image. I colored her in with the Faber-Castell markers for a change from my Copics. Think I like the Copics better. I also just found out about these Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio punches and am having a blast using them. I used a heart and a round one. It is so much fun to match your papers. Thanks for looking.

Hi:
I have been having fun playing along with Create Blog's challenges. My card was one of the featured gallery cards last week. This week's theme is to make a Valentine. I just love making Valentines as these are my favorite colors and favorite papers. I had fun planning out all the different buttons that I used on my card. You can check out the challenge and play along here. I tend to hoard my buttons so it was great to dig them out and use a bunch. Thanks for looking and have a great day.

2/1/12 Inky Impressions Challenge Use Pearls or Bling
Hi Everyone:
Happy Wednesday. It's time again for the Inky Impressions monthly challenge, you can see the whole challenge here, DT samples and participate. This one is near and dear to my heart as I love pearls and bling. My projects has both on it. I actually made a layout and I used Lili's Secret stamp set. I stamped her in Versamark Ink and then heat embossed her with clear embossing powder. I just love how that looks. Nicole's stamps are so deeply etched that they work beautifully with this technique. You can check out this stamp set here as well as many wonderful others.
I used a sketch from Scrapbook Challenges #277, you can find it here. I fell in love with this sketch.
This is a layout with old pictures of my daughter. She was three and is now 17. I have such fun going back and scrapping pictures from when my children were little. It's always such a happy task. Thanks for looking and have a great day.
