My Little Baker and a Recipe Holder

Baker 2
Recipe holderSide viewHi Everyone:
Anita here with another September project. This time I got to make a set which was so much fun. I love this Homemade line from Echo Park. There is an adorable Sticker Accents sheet that is a must have with this line. I had such fun making this layout of my daughter from when she was six years old. We took a Barbie cake decorating class together and this was her adorable creation. My daughter is a freshman at Georgia Tech and it has been fun to reminisce and scrap some really old photos.
Lisa asked me to create a recipe gift item to match the layout using this gorgeous line. I bought a cheap acrylic frame and then altered it so that it became a recipe card holder. I used some of my favorite older MFT Dies that I am sure that if Lisa does not have it in stock, she can order them for you including Mini Rolled Roses and Fancy Flourish. What Lisa doesn't know is that the holder is actually for her and has my bacon dip which I often bring to the store and she loves. Enjoy my friend.

Konnichiwa Kimono and Fortune Cookies

Hi Everyone:
Happy Tuesday. Here are some fun projects that I made with the Basic Grey Konnichiwa papers that Lisa gave me to work with. I searched Google Images for a Kimono card template and used that to guide me in my making my card.
Kimono and cookies1
Kimono Card oneThe fortune cookies are two inch circles that you gently fold in half and glue in the middle of the top part. Holding the part of the circle that you just glued you used your left finger and push in the middle of the cookie and then make the final cookie shape by bringing the two ends together. Super simple to make but oh so adorable.

Rock a Bye Baby with Chocolate Sprinkles

Happy Labor Day to my US friends.  It is official summer is over and both my kids are gone.  Joe and I will be settling into the empty nester roles.  I made this adorable cradle from a pattern by Melanie Muenchinger and Template by Linda Bullard.  The cradle actually does rock back and forth and would be so cute for a baby shower favor.  Be sure to check out the Trendy Twine Blog to see what my fellow DT members have created.  I can promise you some adorable projects.
