Autumn Leaves Boxes

Happy Fall Everyone:

Anita here with these adorable Autumn Leaves Boxes which are from the DigiPlayGround store.  They are by Carina Gardner and just so cute.  They are actually a bit bigger than I thought they were going to be and will be perfect for my best friend's daughter's care package which I usually send her shortly after school starts in the fall.  I used some fun Doodlebug Fall Friends Collection to jazz up the boxes.
Be sure to check out all the wonderful new files including many adorable Halloween files.  It's almost October.
Here is a close up of the top of the boxes.

Wedding Table Markers

1-7-dresses-tux
Hi:
Anita here again for another wedding post this week.  My son is getting married in a little over two weeks and the rehearsal dinner is two weeks from today and with 58 people at the dinner, I decided to make table markers.  I found these adorable Lori Whitlock wedding boxes and used some Doodlebug Vellum as an overlay on the girls dresses.  The colors for the wedding are red and gold so this will be perfect for the tables.  I used some Gold Shimmer, Platinum Shimmer, Maraschino and Charcoal twine on my boxes.  I love how they came out and know they will look adorable on the tables.
Be sure to stop by The Twinery store to get yourself some twine and see these gorgeous colors for yourself.

always-800
Happy Monday Everyone:
Anita here with a simple wedding card.  My son is getting married in just over two weeks and it's all about the wedding at this point.  I made this simple card which has so much sparkle that my son's wife to be will love.  I love the metallic shimmer twine which you can find at The Twinery store.  This color is called platinum shimmer and natural twine and it really adds some extra dazzle to your projects.
Be sure to check out The Twinery store for this and other fabulous colors.  I will be back later this week with another wedding project.

Girls Night Out

girls-night-out-800
Don't you just love having a girls night out?  I thought it would be fun to make something that you could use to get ready for your night out.  I used a Silhouette file to cut this holder which has a lovely little bottle of nail polish and an emery board in it.  I was thinking I could have the ladies come over early and give each one this treat.  I used Doodlebug's Sugar Shoppe collection.

An Apple for Teacher

An Apple for Teacher

Hi Everyone:
I hope that everyone had a great summer.  I am so excited to be back guest designing today with a card making tip/technique that is one of my favorites.  I am talking about making shaker cards.  I just love how fun and festive they are.

I used my Silhouette and cut two apple templates out of acetate sheets from my personal stash.  You could use vellum also and I have also used transparency sheets which you can get at an office supply store.  It was thick so I had to use double cut.  The cut file is from Lettering Delights #22835 and can be found in the Silhouette store.
I used one of My Favorite Things awesome dies called Polka Dot Cover-Up and used the dots that were left behind for my shaker material.
I then laid one acetate apple down on my mat and put the dots in the middle.  I put the other one gently on top and was ready to sew.  The dots move a bit so I kept stopping to push them back in.
Here is it all sewn.
I had cut two more apples, one in green and one in brown and then trimmed the paper so that I could have a green leaf and a brown stem.
Shaker cards are so fun and interactive, I hope that you have a chance to give one a try.
Supplies Used:  Black and white Cardstock:  Bazzill, Back to School by Doodlebug, Clear Acetate sheet from my personal stash, Polka Dot Cover-Up and Scalloped Border Dies from My Favorite Things, Apple Cut File from Lettering Delights #22835, Sizzix Big Kick, Sewing Machine

grandpa-box-800
Happy Labor Day to those who celebrate it.  Anita here today with a gift box that I made in honor of Grandparents' Day which is September 13th.  I love these paper boxes and adding twine in the detailing just takes everything to another level.  I wrapped the fishing pole line with some Solid Cappuccino twine. Be sure to hop on over to The Twinery store and get yourself some of this yummy color.  It's perfect for the upcoming fall and early winter holidays.
