Hi Everyone:

Anita here with a tutorial to create this adorable four drawer organizer.  I am going to show you how to put this cutie together and was thinking that you could customize them for every season.  I am going to put chocolates into mine and give it to a friend.  You can find the 4 Drawer Organizer cut file here in Lori's store and here in the Silhouette Design store.  I used one of my favorite Echo Park Lori Whitlock designed paper lines called Sweet Baby Girl.Here is a screen shot of the cut files on my mat.  You will need to cut four of the outer box and the inner box as noted in black bold type near the boxes cut files.

Here are the pieces that you will have once you have cut everything for your project.

I always start my projects by folding the score lines as you can see by the photo above.

For the inner box you are going to want to glue the tabs from the back of the box to the side of the box.

Next you will glue the back flap into the box.

Next you will glue down the front flap into the box.

Lastly, you will glue in to the box the two last flaps and your inner box is done.

Now onto the outer box.

There are flaps along the bottom of the box cut file and you will be gluing the tabbed pieces together and leaving the flaps alone for now.

Here you can see that I have started to glue together the tabs on the outside box and am ready to glue the last side onto the box with the flaps left alone for now.

Here you can see that I glued together the last part of the box and the flaps are open and at the top.  They are going to get glued into the box and will make a lovely clean box with smooth insides which allows the inner box to slide easily in and out.

And that is how you put together both of the boxes.  Next, you will stack the four outer boxes two by two and glue them all together.  Make sure that you put enough glue to hold them together.  Lastly, you are going to glue on your accent pieces to finish off your box.  You could also add any cute embellishments that you want.

School Clipboard Card

Happy Monday Everyone:

Anita here with a quick and easy fun back to school card for your favorite student.  I just love how cute this is and how easy it was to put together.  The night before the first day of school I used to give my kids a card and a treat to wish them well in the coming school year.  This card would be perfect for that.  I used Lori's cut file called School Clipboard Card and you can find it here in her store as well as here in the Silhouette store.  I used her awesome new Echo Park line called Celebrate Autumn and her Perfect Princess line as well.

Lunch Bag Thank You Teacher

Hi Everyone:

Anita here with an adorable lunch bag teacher treat holder.  I used Lori's cut file called Lunch Bag Thank You Teacher and you can find it here in her store and here in the Silhouette Store.  I used Lori's brand new collection from Echo Park called Celebrate Autumn. I used her wood grain embossing folder to give the bag some dimension.

This was so easy to create and would fit a gift card perfectly as well as some chocolates.  A little gift to the teacher to get the year off to a great start.

I love the print and cut little chalk board that is part of this set.  Hope you have a chance to check out this cute and so easy to put together gift set as well as many other wonderful fall and back to school designs.

Accoridan Book Gift Card Holder Tutorial

Anita here with a tutorial to make this fun Accordion Book Box Gift Card Holder from Lori's store and which you can also find in the Silhouette Store.  I used Lori's brand new collection from Echo Park called Back to School.  The colors are awesome and worked perfectly for this male gift card box.  The sentiment I used is Lori's also and it is called Brush Happy Birthday to You.  You can find it here in her store and here in the Silhouette Store.  

Here are the pieces for the project.  You have to cut two each of the long sheets which are scored horizontally so that you can make the accordion fold pieces.

My paper is two sided so I decided that I wanted the red to show on the outside so this is how I folded all four of the accordion pieces as well as the insert.

I glued the red side together and then held it down with my hands until it dried.  Once it was dry I glued the blue sides to each other as well.  These accordion pieces are going to make the base for creating a spot for the gift card holder to fit.

Here are all four pieces glued together and ready to be put into the box.

I laid them out here so that you could see how to put the box together.

All four pieces are glued down and I have now glued down the top as well.

Insert is glued in now also.  Next I glued down all the accent pieces.

I cut an extra piece to put in the front left side of the card so that I could write a note.  Here is the box open with the gift card in it.
Here is the front and side view.  I will be making more of these, what an awesome way to present a gift card.  That's it for me today.

Ooh, La, La Birthday

Happy Monday Everyone:

I have a dear friend who has a birthday coming up and she loves Paris so I made this sweet birthday card for her.  I used Lori's file called Pop Up Box Card Eiffel Tower Birthday and you can find it here in her store and here in the Silhouette store.  It is so easy to put together and Lori has tutorials for her pop up box cards.

This showed the card folded flat.  It slips nicely into the envelope. Be sure to check out all the different Pop Up Box cards Lori has.

Flag Day Banner Tutorial

Happy Flag Day.  Anita here with a banner that you can use for Flag Day as well as for the Fourth of July, Memorial Day and any other day that you want to celebrate our great country.  I used several different cut files of Lori's to create this banner.

I love mix and matching Lori's cut files to create new projects.  I am going to show you how I prepared the fabric for cutting in my Silhouette machine.  Here are the supplies that I used for this project.  Terial Magic is a wonderful product that comes in a spray bottle and you can get it on Amazon or at your local quilt shop.  I sprayed the fabric liberally and checked the back side to make sure that it was soaked on both sides.  I hung them up on my shower rod as you have to let them drip to just damp.  Put something under where you hang the fabric so that it doesn't make a mess.  It's sticky, and rubber gloves might have been helpful to use as well.

Here is a photo of the fabric as I was in the process of ironing it.  You can see the bottom left looks still darker and wet and the right part is done and the fabric feels like paper.  I ironed my fabric on a towel to absorb any extra of the Terial Magic Fabric Stabilizer.

You can see how this fabric stands up once it is ironed.

I used the strong grip mat from Cricut and a brayer to make sure that the fabric didn't move.  You will want to slow down your cutter in addition to choosing fabric as your material to be cut.

I laid out the blocks to see how they would look and switched around the banners and embellishments.

Earlier in the week on Tuesday we had our June blog hop and I have included a photo with the quilt block centerpiece and the banner that I made.  I am going to put this out for the 4th of July.
